SEX OFFENDERS NOW IN ONSLOW COUNTY JAIL. CAN WE KEEP THEM THERE?

Two sex offenders have been apprehended and a third is being sought after they failed to notify law enforcement when they moved. The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants for the arrest of two sex offenders that failed to register as required by state law.

On September 7, 2016, The U.S. Marshal’s Service notified Onslow County Sheriff’s Office detectives that they had apprehended Pharon Stoney Ipock and John William Wesley Aaron III for the outstanding warrants for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

Ipock, a 49 year old male moved from Brunswick County to Onslow County and never provided his new address within the required 10 day timeframe. Ipock was transferred to the Onslow County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $20,000 secured.

John William Wesley Aaron III, 42 year old male of Hardison Hills in Jacksonville absconded from probation and left the area, failing to provide authorities with his whereabouts. Aaron was arrested September 7, 2016 and transferred to Onslow County Detention Center under a $36,000 secured bond.

Both men had their first court appearance on September 8, 2016.
