New Bern N.C. 17 year old cold case

CRAVEN COUNTY — Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a teenage girl who hasn’t been seen in nearly two decades.
Christina Lynn Lewis was 17 when she vanished from New Bern. She was last seen June 20, 2000. Her last contact with family was two weeks prior to that. Investigators believe she was forcibly abducted. She’s believed to be dead.
Christina, who may have gone by the nickname Teena, was born July 9, 1983. She’s described as a white female, 5 foot 3 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds with strawberry blonde hair and brown eyes. Her tongue and navel are pierced.
In the above photo, Lewis is shown on the left how she looked at the time of her disappearance and on the right how she might look now in an age-progressed photo-illustration by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

DNA and dental records have been recorded and charting is available.
