Have You Seen This Endangered Runaway?

CUMBERLAND COUNTY — Help a mother find out where her daughter is… or at least what happened to her.

Amelia Jose Antonio, now 24, was a teenager when she ran away from home in 2009. She was last seen in June 2009 in Godwin, a small town outside Fayetteville with a population of less than 150 people.

Authorities believe Amelia left home of her own accord. She has a history of running away. The day she disappeared she had just returned home from running away to Florida. She’s described as a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. At the time of her disappearance she was 5 foot 1 inch tall and weighed 110 pounds.
Amelia is pictured how she might have looked at 21 years old in the above photo-illustration created by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A DNA sample to help identify Amelia has bee submitted to authorities, according to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons Network.
Anyone with information about Amelia’s whereabouts or fate is asked to call 911 or 800-THE-LOST.
